Winged Tip Shoes, Valise and Assorted Items Belonging to Writer
Saul Bellow. Opening Bid Starting $1,500.
Jake Bloom, representing an anonymous investor, acquired Saul Bellow’s now famous winged-tip shoes and other artifacts at Valise Gallery’s summer auction.
One hour before bidding commenced, Mr. Bloom approached Victor Monchego, Valise’s curator for the event, and made an offer that could not be refused. The shoes never made it to the auction block.
As it turns out, Jake Bloom was representing someone known as John Christopher, aka Johnny Depp.
There have been many rumored summer sightings of Mr. Depp on Vashon Island. A local realtor reportedly escorted Mr. Depp in disguise to a private cage fighting event held at a secret location in the hinterlands of Maury Island.

I agree. He always seemed to be a somber sort of guy.
